Saint John the Baptist and Saint Mary's Byzantine Catholic Churches
Glory to Jesus Christ! Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As the Administrator of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Lansford and St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Nesquehoning I offer to each of you my sincere and warm wishes.
Our church parish is a very special place for each of us. All the main events of our lives are connected to the parish. Our parish witnessed many joys of Baptisms, Marriages, and moments of sorrow and death. The parish carries the blessed imprint of parents, grandparents, family and friends. It has been the spiritual home for many generations. It is like a ship in the big ocean of life, which aims to take us to Christ, despite the waves and winds of today’s world. Each of us is a living brick of our church parish and without everyone, our parish would not be the same or complete. Every one of us has his own calling and unique way to God. Our parish unites us all. The parish family is the family for all. Each of us writes another chapter in the history of our parish today. Let us do our best. Let us put our efforts to keep our community strong and show care and love for each other and our church. May our church remains the spiritual heart in all of us. As Jesus said, “Where two or three are gathered together in my Name, there am I in the midst of them.” Let us remember – Jesus is with us today, He is in our midst. Placing our hope in Him and His beloved Mother let us continue our spiritual Journey. Let us join our prayers in giving heartfelt thanks to our loving God who has brought us to this day. Let us be thankful to God for the past, take responsibility for the present and with our eyes fixed on Christ and hope in our hearts let us look into the future. May our loving God continue to guide our parish family and bless each one of us, and may Hope, Love and Faith accompany us on the way of our lives! With prayers,
Rev. Dr. Vasyl Chepelskyy Parish Administrator
